Three  puppies, suffering from severe rickets and living on the streets with their mother, were rescued and brought to an animal shelter.

Their condition was dire, with bone deformities and one  puppy also showing signs of epilepsy.

The shelter team developed a treatment plan, providing a nutrient-rich diet, calcium and vitamin D supplements, and physical therapy to strengthen their fragile bones.

The epileptic puppy received anti-seizure medication and constant monitoring. Warmth and comfort were also provided to ease their fear and cold.

Tragically, parvovirus struck, overwhelming the puppies’ weakened immune systems. Despite the staff’s efforts, only one puppy survived.

The surviving puppy, still battling rickets and epilepsy, showed remarkable resilience. With ongoing veterinary care, medication, and a loving environment, he continued to fight.

This story highlights the challenges faced by rescued animals. While the loss of the other puppies was heartbreaking, the survivor’s journey is an inspiration.

It underscores the importance of early intervention and specialized care.
